Drawing My Stories

I tell stories of my life through colors, shapes and lines.  Funny moments, joyous occasions, serendipitous events, heartbreaks and challenges provide endless inspiration for my work.  This series captures some of these memorable moments that have shaped who I am today. 

 

My creative process, strongly influenced by my architecture background, transforms what I see, think and feel into abstract compositions derived from explorations of formal elements.  I approach everything I create as a drawing, my natural way of communicating my ideas.  Working in oil and cold wax provides a way for me to draw, erase, and build layers to visually narrate these moments. This body of work is dedicated to my parents who are always with me.
